Annabelle graduated from Sydney Uni in 1985 and after working in mixed practice in Sydney, sailed into Cairns in 1989. She owns a dedicated avian, reptile, wildlife and exotics clinic servicing commercial, private, zoo and wildlife clients. She has a masters researching flying fox health and a PhD in crocodile anaesthesia. She is a member of the ANZCVS in Wildlife Medicine, and in Avian health. She regularly examines for the College and is currently head of the Avian Health chapter memberships examination committee. She is on the board of the AVCB and Forever Wild, a conservation organisation based in far north Queensland.
